As I did my nails tonight, I started thinking about first loves - beauty wise that is. See, my first love, and my love that has lasted the longest, has been "Kinky in Helsinki", nail polish from OPI's European collection. It has since been discontinued, so I was able to get a bottle half-price. I now have two bottles, but since I cannot live without this color, I use sparingly. It happens to be my mani/pedi color this week. Some might call it garish, this bright, shimmery magenta, that is no longer en vogue, but I don't care. I love it. I can't explain it. I've used it since it was released. I love the name, the color itself, the brand. I just do. I fell in love with OPI because of this color.
Of course, I have other colors I love, as well as colors I lusted after, and have fallen to the bottom of the train case. But this color was my first love, and remains so. What color was your first love? What product? Is it discontinued, or still being manufactured? Please share!
There was a Dior lipstick called "Figue" that was the PERFECT color. It was just dark enough, but not too dark for day. It didn't bleed, and it didn't dry out my lips. God I miss that lipstick...

i googled it, and saw a picture - it looks very pretty. but i might have to try dior lipstick now - non-drying & non-bleeding sound great!
